Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of VT Planner, a software-as-a-service tool for elevator traffic analysis, calculation, simulation, report preparation, and related technical workflows.
Last updated: May 29, 2026
By creating an account, signing in, or using VT Planner, you agree to these Terms. If you use VT Planner on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
1. Operator and contact
VT Planner is operated by Pablo Labhart, trading under the VT Planner brand.
Legal business name: Pablo Labhart. Product and trading name: VT Planner.
Contact for legal, account, and privacy matters: info@vtplanner.com.
2. The service
VT Planner provides software tools for elevator traffic planning and analysis. The service may include project workspaces, analytical calculations, discrete-event simulation, report generation, account management, and technical diagnostic tools.
VT Planner is a professional decision-support tool. It does not replace engineering judgment, code compliance review, local regulatory review, manufacturer guidance, consultant review, or independent validation of project assumptions.
3. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and workspace.
VT Planner may offer free trials or limited-access plans. Trial workspaces may become read-only or restricted when a trial expires, when a plan is downgraded, or when access is suspended.
You must promptly notify us at info@vtplanner.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use VT Planner to:
- violate law, regulation, third-party rights, or contractual restrictions;
- upload unlawful, infringing, confidential, or regulated data that you are not authorized to process;
- interfere with, probe, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the service;
- bypass usage limits, authentication, authorization, billing, or security controls;
- use outputs as the sole basis for safety-critical, code-compliance, or final engineering decisions without qualified review;
- resell or provide hosted access to VT Planner without written permission.
5. Customer content
You retain ownership of the project data, inputs, scenarios, reports, notes, files, and other content you submit to VT Planner.
You grant VT Planner a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, back up, and otherwise use your content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, improve, and support the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your content is accurate, lawful, and suitable for processing in VT Planner.
6. VT Planner intellectual property
VT Planner and its software, interfaces, documentation, algorithms, workflows, branding, and other materials are owned by VT Planner or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
You may use VT Planner only as permitted by these Terms and the plan or access level assigned to your account.
7. Outputs and professional responsibility
VT Planner may generate calculations, simulation results, charts, summaries, exports, and reports based on your inputs and selected assumptions.
Outputs depend on data quality, modeling assumptions, product limitations, and configuration choices. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs and deciding whether they are appropriate for your use case.
VT Planner does not guarantee that outputs satisfy any particular building code, elevator standard, contract requirement, authority approval, procurement requirement, or safety requirement.
8. Third-party services
VT Planner may rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers for hosting, authentication, database, email, storage, analytics, monitoring, payments, or support. These providers may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but VT Planner may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, security events, provider issues, or changes to the service.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, or the service as needed. Where practical, we will provide notice of material changes that affect active users.
10. Fees and paid plans
Applicable fees, billing terms, renewal terms, taxes, cancellation rules, and refund rules are disclosed at checkout, in an order form, on the relevant plan page, or in the applicable Polar buyer terms when payment is processed by Polar.
Our checkout process is conducted by our online reseller Polar. Polar acts as the merchant of record for online orders and provides checkout, payment processing, transaction receipts, and payment-related support.
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, access may be limited, suspended, or terminated for non-payment.
11. Confidentiality
Do not upload information to VT Planner unless you have the right to do so. We will use reasonable measures to protect workspace content and account information, but VT Planner is not intended for highly sensitive regulated data unless a separate written agreement allows it.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, misuse the service, fail to pay applicable fees, or if continued access would expose VT Planner or others to material risk.
You may stop using VT Planner at any time. You may request account or workspace deletion by contacting info@vtplanner.com, subject to retention required for legal, security, backup, billing, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes.
13. Disclaimers
VT Planner is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, and accuracy of outputs.
No technical, engineering, commercial, or operational information provided through VT Planner creates a warranty unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VT Planner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, data, or project value.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VT Planner's total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts paid by you to VT Planner for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you use only a free or trial plan, VT Planner's total liability will be limited to USD 100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VT Planner from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the service, including reliance on outputs.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://www.vtplanner.com/terms with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to notify active users.
Continued use of VT Planner after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the VT Planner operator is legally established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
