VT Planner User Guide
VT Planner user guide for modeling buildings, configuring elevator groups, running calculations and simulations, and reviewing traceable results.
VT Planner keeps the building, elevator alternatives, analysis assumptions, run history, and reports for a study together in one project.
This guide covers the current project workflow, including building-specific traffic profiles, Advanced custom demand, reproducible multi-run simulation, charts, replay, audit data, and account management.
Main Workflow
- Create a project to group the study.
- Define and save the building: floors, entrances, heights, and population.
- Create one or more elevator setups for that saved building.
- Choose the demand and run a calculation, simulation, or multi-run simulation.
- Review the saved scenario snapshot, metrics, charts, replay, and exports.
Choose the Right Starting Page
- New to VT Planner: First analysis.
- Preparing the demand model: Building and Building demand model.
- Configuring cars and service: Elevator setups and Zoning and transfers.
- Choosing a study method: Analysis.
- Using percentage-based demand: Standard traffic profiles.
- Building a time-varying OD schedule: Advanced custom demand.
- Interpreting a study: Analysis controls and interpretation and Results.
- Resolving a blocked action or partial run: Troubleshooting.
Before You Start
You need an active account with permission to create projects and run analyses. New accounts accept the legal terms, complete their profile, choose a unit system, and activate the trial before the project list opens.
If the account becomes read-only, you can still review available project data, but creation and execution actions may be blocked. See Account and support for plan status, usage, password, and support options.
